Welcome to Sahara Imbiss on Mehringplatz 13, in the southern Friedrichstadt part of Kreuzberg, near Hallesches Tor and the Landwehrkanal. Our shop is a favourite for fresh, honest Sudanese street food, to eat in, take away, or have delivered.

Around Mehringplatz, Berlin's history meets everyday life: the banks of the Landwehrkanal, the Jewish Museum and the cultural spots along Friedrichstraße are all nearby, and plenty of people pass through every day. A freshly made dish from Sahara Imbiss is the ideal companion for a break in between.

Since 2009 we've cooked with fresh ingredients and home recipes — no flavour enhancers, no preservatives. As a sign of Sudanese hospitality, every visit comes with a glass of free black tea. People love our daily-fresh falafel, hummus, Ful Medames and our unmistakable peanut sauce, along with sandwiches, bowls and plates. Vegan, vegetarian or with meat — it's all halal.
